ASUU Strike! “The Strike Is Affecting All Of Us, My Child Is Currently At Home Because Of Strike” Ngige Reveals

The minister of labour and productivity, Chris Ngige, has revealed that his child is affected by the current ongoing strike action by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Speaking with State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting, the minister said the Nigerian government will leave no stone unturned in its effort to ensure the strike is called off.

He said the federal government is also working towards reaching a conclusive agreement with the executive body of ASUU so that the students can go back to their classrooms. “I have my child at home as we speak.

Government is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that we reach a conclusive agreement with ASUU so that they can go back to classroom.”

Students who are supposed to take their exams and promotional exams have been forced by circumstances beyond their control to stay at home,” Ngige said.
