Arewa Youths Ask Federal Government To Arrest Nnamdi Kanu

The Arewa Youth Assembly  held a protest to demand for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu over the unity of Nigeria on Wednesday, August 9.

The group who took to the streets under Police watch said unity of the country is non-negotiable while calling for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

The group insisted that Nnamdi Kanu is undermining the sovereignty of the country through his agitation for Biafra.

Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA), on Wednesday August 9, threatened to paralyze governments’ activities, especially in 19 Northern states, if the Federal Government failed to arrest the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB),

Nnamdi Kanu over what it termed ‘lawlessness and youth agitations’ in various parts of the country.

It was earlier reported that Nnamdi Kanu condemned the Ozubulu killing and called for thorough investigation of the massacre. He claimed that there was nothing to suggest that the attack was not an act of terrorism.
